Practice Manager
Nothing at Aspire Dental Wellness would be possible without our dedicated practice manager – Mili. A vital part of our team, Mili ensures every detail behind the scenes runs seamlessly so patients feel cared for from the moment they arrive. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Serbian, she creates a welcoming environment for individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
With her exceptional organizational skills and commitment to excellence, Mili has become an indispensable partner to Dr. Bjelac in upholding the high standards Aspire Dental Wellness is known for. Her proactive approach and steady support help keep the practice running smoothly every day.
Beyond her work in the dental field, Mili is also a professional photographer. Her talent behind the camera allows her to help others preserve meaningful milestones and memories. When she’s not managing the practice or working on photography projects, Mili enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and husband and exploring creative pursuits that inspire her.
Lead Dental Assistant
Alessandra Marquez is an extremely valuable part of our team. She’s our lead dental assistant, with the main responsibility of helping our beloved Dr Sladjana Bjelac during any kind of procedure. A lead dental assistant is in charge of organizing the instruments and maintaining everything in order, so that the doctor can perform treatments quickly and smoothly, without any issues, allowing our patients to spend as little time as possible in the dental chair. Alessandra is Venezuelan and a mother of twins. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her lovely family, traveling, dancing, and eating.
Dental Assistant
Durga Sakthivel is another dental assistant in our practice, a true team player, and a valuable asset to our family at Aspire Dental Wellness. As our dental assistant, one of her responsibilities is helping and supporting patients with dental anxiety through their procedures.
Durga was originally born and raised in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, before moving to America in 2012 to further pursue education as a dental assistant. Before moving to Charlotte, NC, she previously lived in Washington State. Durga finished undergraduate studies in India and enrolled in a dental assisting program in Seattle. Once the workday comes to an end, she enjoys hiking, going to group fitness classes at the gym, and spending time with friends and family.
Insurance Coordinator
With over eight years of experience in business development, nonprofit relations, and creative production, Haley helps keep Aspire Dental Wellness running smoothly behind the scenes. As our Insurance Coordinator, she guides patients through insurance questions with clarity and care, making sure every visit feels stress-free and well-supported.
Outside the office, Haley is Executive Producer of The Face Magazine and co-owner of Prestige Events and Productions. She has a passion for helping artists and entrepreneurs build strong brands and memorable experiences.
A lifelong learner, Haley enjoys studying clinical philosophy through Spear Education, mastering CDT ADA coding, and exploring over nine foreign languages. In her free time, she volunteers with local children’s groups, supports animal rescue efforts, and helps retirees navigate technology.
Dental Hygienist
Maddie is a dental hygienist who enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and well-informed about their oral health. She grew up in Mocksville, just outside of Winston-Salem, where she learned the value of building genuine connections with people in her community. She later attended Central Piedmont Community College to pursue her career in dental hygiene.
When she is not at the office, you will often find Maddie at the gym, spending time with friends, or relaxing at home with her cat. She is a big fan of classic TV, and Friends is her all-time favorite show. Maddie’s warm personality and steady approach help make dental visits a positive experience for patients of all ages.
